In the wake of heavy rains and severe flash flooding in Katni district, thousands of people have been forced to evacuate. Persistent rainfall has led to severe waterlogging, transforming streets into ponds and submerging major bridges. Villages around Umariya Pan—where our school is located—have been overwhelmed, leaving residents stranded as their homes are inundated with rising waters.

In response to this urgent crisis, we mobilized to distribute essential ration kits to approximately 120 displaced families from nearby villages, with the support of Grace Mission English Medium School in Umariya Pan. These families, who have lost access to necessities, received kits containing wheat, sugar, salt, oil, dal, and soap.

This initiative has provided much-needed relief amid these challenging conditions. The local Sarpanch visited the distribution site to offer encouragement and express gratitude for our efforts.

Our commitment to supporting the community remains strong as we work together to help families recover from the devastating impacts of the flood.
