Health Care - Clean Water
Provision of Drinking Water
Water scarcity is becoming a problem of global proportion. Getting access to safe, clean drinking water is a daily challenge for millions of people in rural India. 37.7 million Indians are affected by waterborne diseases annually, and unfortunately 1.5 million children die of diarrhoea alone.
Through our Clean Drinking Water project hundreds of villages have been benefited with access to clean water in their village. CFI Charitable Trust identifies villages where people struggle for clean water and installs deep core bore wells in the drought-hit villages of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and other north Indian states.
These wells are accessible to all people, regardless of their caste or religion and provide clean drinking water to hundreds of poor villages.
In the days to come water will be one of the scarce basic resources. Water preservation and water saving has to be made effective for remedying the challenge. CFI Charitable Trust initiates programs to bring awareness in people about the need of preserving and saving water for future generation.
We educate and use strategic methods to reduce water wastage and increase water preservation through creating reservoirs to harvest the water spillage at ground level, returning it to the well. We also educate communities about various ways to filter water. Thousands of people benefit from our initiatives and water conservation projects.
